Mactan Economic Zone 2

Designated as Special Economic Zone by virtue of a Presidential Proclamation in 1996, Mactan Economic Zone 2 is a fulfillment of the vision of AboitizLand to fill the need to build communities that would offer the ultimate real estate experience to our customer-locators. Partnering with the Mactan Cebu International Airport Authority, AboitizLand, Inc., the Real Estate arm of the Aboitiz & Co. (ACO), one of the Philippine's oldest and biggest business conglomerates founded in 1920, developed and operates this sprawling 70 hectare Estate.

Riding on the back of the expertise of AboitizLand in property management, MEZ2 has established itself as one of the Industrial Estate leaders in the region catering mostly to light-medium industries involved in the manufacture of precision instruments, medical equipment, communication and electronics, apparels and furniture, among others. Currently, MEZ2 hosts 48 locator companies that notably include Lexmark Phils. Inc, Tamiya, Phils., Olympus Optical and Lear Corporation. With the presence of Japanese, American, European, Taiwanese and Filipino companies, MEZ2 truly showcases Cebu's major role in the export market and stands as a testament to the recognition and commitment of AboitizLand to global standards.

MEZ2 also proudly includes Pueblo Verde, a clustered, town center-inspired commercial development located at the main entrance leading to the industrial estate. MEZ2 maintains its own Water Treatment Facility, dual piping system for potable and non-potable water, two 25/33 MVA substations, a 22-meter wide main road and 14-meter wide secondary roads, public utility terminal along with round the clock security. It also has redundant communication infrastructure in place.
