Consistent with its mission, Fil-Am Foods, Inc. provides high-nutrition quality feeds, counsel on animal nutrition and management and superior piglets for farmers to grow to market, through its commercial feed manufacturing plant in Sto. Domingo II Capas, Tarlac and its Swine Breeder and Finisher operations in Barangays Aranguren and Cutcut also in Capas. The plant has an annual capacity of more than 100,000 metric tons of feed for livestock and poultry, while its farms maintains a 5,000 sow level population. For four years, Aboitiz Equity Ventures’ (AEV) 50% investment in Fil-Am Foods, Inc. became the base for Farmer's Edge’s presence in the country. Seeing the inevitable growth of the company, in October 2002, AEV, through its subsidiary, Pilmico Foods Corporation, decided to acquire the shares of its American partners to further speed-up all the major developments in the years ahead.
