Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu) Inc. or THICI was established in 1994. It started as, and continues to be a successful partnership between the Tsuneishi Group of Japan and the Aboitiz Group of the Philippines.
THICI builds merchant ships of up to 100,000 deadweight tons using the same high quality shipbuilding technologies and standards as those in Tsuneishi Japan.
THICI's main facilities are located in a 55 hectare land area consisting of a Slipway No. 1, Slipway No. 2, Floating Docks for Shop Repair, a Warehouse, and Assembly Factory, a Hardcover Factory, a Pipe Factory, a Paint Shop, a Machine Shop, Floating Cranes and an Office Building.
